Eileen Goor

Rev Eileen Goor founded New World Unity Church in 1996. She was moved to open the way for a different way of 'doing church' but unsure what that might look like. A colleague gave her a copy of Chuck Olsen's Discerning God's Will Together. A group of dedicated individuals attended weekly sessions where the concept of discernment was explored (and used) to co-create a structure quite different from the traditional Board-By-laws-Budget format. This structure is based on Participating in God's Unfolding, a spiritual discernment process used for every facet of decision-making in the church. It has been a joyful, successful experience, and we know it is our mission to share the joy of this new perspective.

Eileen sits on the advisory boards of the Association of Global New Thought and Worshipful Work as part of living this mission

Our Consultant Guides

Given increasing interest in spirituality and governance at the congregational board/council and judicatory levels, and the need for consultant leaders who can work with churches, Worshipful-Work has trained Consultant Mentors, ministering in various denominations and in various parts of our country, to introduce, interpret and facilitate the "worshipful work" model.

Their purpose is to mentor pastoral and lay leaders. Their mentoring is not a cookie cutting "clone". Each person is uniquely equipped through their own person and calling. They are available to serve potential client organizations and religious associations. Contact Worshipful-Work: Center for Transforming Religious Leadership for more information.
